LIFE CHAIN 2019 – Oct. 5th & 6th in Thunder Bay
Did you know that Canada has no laws or restrictions on abortion. It is legal for a woman to end the life of her child in the womb at any stage of her pregnancy for any reason. Approximately 300 abortions happen every day in Canada – 100,000+ every year. We believe that human life is intrinsically valuable in all circumstances and at all stages. Every human being, regardless of age or ability, deserves human rights, the most fundamental of which is the right to life. When a woman faces a difficult pregnancy, the solution is to address the difficulty – not to kill the innocent child. Women facing an unplanned pregnancy deserve better care and solutions that don’t involve ending the life of their child. We as a society can and must do better.
Life Chain is a prayerful and peaceful witness to the sanctity of human life and the harm of abortion. Every year, Life Chain participants hold signs with important pro-life messages at hundreds of locations across North America, for one hour. It is a simple but powerful reminder of our duty to defend the weakest members of our society.
Join our Thunder Bay Life Chain on Sat. Oct. 5th and Sun. Oct. 6th from 2-3 pm at the Central/Memorial Ave. intersection. You may come for one or both days! We will meet in the Best Buy parking lot closest to the intersection just before 2:00 for a briefing and to pick up signs. Join us and be a voice for the voiceless. Please feel free to call or email for further information.
